Horrible. The sound is horrible in the car. I could hardly hear myself over what sounded like bubbles in a fish tank. My fiancee said that it sounded like there were bubbling noises when I was talking to her via the headset. So I called my home and left a message on my answering machine. Garbage. Your mileage may vary, but I would highly recommend you consider a different headset.
this is the best blue tooth ear piece I have had yet. Comfortable to wear for extended periods, easy to use. Voice capabilties work great.
It's a total disaster. For me, it is one of the worst headsets I have ever owned. I bought this headset based on positive reviews posted here. The clip mounts over the post used to hold the ear tip. It comes with three ear tips, none of which fit my ears well at all. Because leaving it in my ear was chancy at best, I used the provided over-ear clip. Any pressure applied to the headset, such as removing it from an ear, often results in the clip forcing the ear tip free. It is no fun trying to retrieve the components in an automobile or anywhere else.Avoid this badly engineered product.
THE PLANTRONICS DISCOVERY 655 BLUETOOTH HEADSET THAT I RECENTLY BOUGHT IS BY FAR THE BEST OF THE EIGHT BLUETOOTH HEADSETS THAT I HAVE OWNED, WHICH INCLUDED THREE OTHER PLANTRONICS MODELS - THE EXPLORER 220, THE VOYAGER 520, AND THE DISCOVERY 650E. THE NOISE CANCELLATION WORKS VERY WELL, BUT DOES NOT PERFORM MIRACLES. IT IS WELL WORTH THE DISCOUNTED PRICE OR EVEN SUBSTANTIALLY MORE. UNLIKE MOST OF THE HEADSETS THAT I'VE HAD, IT IS QUITE LOUD AT FULL VOLUME - I HAD TO STRAIN TO HEAR WITH MOST OF THE OTHERS. I USUALLY USE THE OPTIONAL EAR CLIP BECAUSE I RIDE A BICYCLE FREQUENTLY, AND THIS DEVICE IS SO LIGHT THAT I MIGHT NOT NOTICE IF IT FELL FROM MY EAR. MY ONLY REAL COMPLAINT IS THAT IT CAN BE A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE TO WEAR THIS HEADSET AFTER A WHILE, SINCE NONE OF THE THREE PROVIDED EAR GELS IS QUITE RIGHT FOR ME.
I bought one of this style about 18 months ago, so I have a bit longer experience than most of these reviews.Sound: OK. The latter bayonet fits in to the socket with a 45 degree twist to either side, as feels best. So far, I've been lucky with the set, but have lost the hook. Microphone could be better.Fit: starts of OK. A USB charger adapter is included, BUT you have to remember to keep it with you. But as time goes by the two attachment pieces loosen up. Not more than that. BUT the plastic slowly wears away, the wire hook gets completely floppy, and the bayonet fit gets loose, with the result tat gravity is constantly pulling the headset itself down to where the bayonet finds its exit and the set falls off your ear.
These being the ear adapter (three different sizes provided) and the stability hook. The problem is this: the hook press fits over the socket for the ear adapter. These are available from the Plantronics web site at around $5 a pop.Charging: uses a very special charger system with power source adapters. I now require any headset I buy in the future to have a built-in USB Mini-B socket for charging off any USB socket, no extra hardware required apart from the cable.SO I am going to consider the $100 I paid in 2007 amortized and get something different.
